Inquisitor vs Assassin damage problem

Just for fun I put my exact Storm Call Assassin as an Inquisitor instead, and the damage loss was pretty substantial, about 30% lower on Inquisitor

My question: Does the fact that Inquisotor ignores enemy resists matter enough to justify using it?

On trash mobs I'm sure it does, but is that "ignores enemy resists" actually important for bosses?

Ignore enemy resist should be more powerful against bosses, as they have more resistance.

It depends what else is on your build, it is possible to get enemy resistances into negative, in which case ignoring would actually be detrimental for DPS.

I assume there are some other factors involved. Are the crit values the same on both? Are the tree's different? Both ascendancies have some conditional aspects, so if you are looking at the POB numbers, make sure the configurations account for this.
