Question about progression
|
I feel I always hit this plateau where most common strats (like basic Guardian/Invitation/Pinnacle farm or box-standard Harbinger) are dreadfully slow for my next upgrade, often pulling in 3 to 8 div/h, and my next piece needing like 20-50div.
But at that point, I'm not strong enough to do giga-juicing, reliably finish t17s without chain-deaths or being super slow or farm Ubers yet. I notice a lot of people progress much faster, often hitting mirrors within the 1st week. Just confused as to how to smoothly transition in an efficient manner. I usually play Reap Mines or Zenith Jugg, if that matters. Want to try PB of Dissipation but cant seem to get enough cash this league, heh. Last bumped on Nov 12, 2025, 3:49:48 PM

There are lots of different methods to increase wealth, and a few notes worth considering.
Keep in mind: 1. Comparing yourself to streamers or anyone who has the time to play for most of the day is always going to feel bad. 2. Game knowledge is key to profit. Everything from knowing what stats make an item valuable, to figuring out a new items power before it becomes expensive. Tips: 1. Invest early. On league start, you obviously need to upgrade your gear enough to be able to do basic content, but after that, buy something that will go up in value and hold it. Popular options that always go up are mirrors, mirror shards, hinekoras locks. There are cheaper options as well, but those get less predictable/change with current crafting meta. Example: You are farming T16's already, and drop a few divine orbs. It is tempting to buy a new amulet you know would be a 5% ehp and dps boost, without requiring any other gear swaps. But since you can already do the T16 content fairly well, you buy a veiled exalt orb for 3d and keep grinding. You do this 3 more times over the next week, with an average purchase cost of the exalts at ~3.5dea. The following week you hit another few drops and decide you want to get a new main hand weapon. it will be 20d for a 30% dps boost, but you only have 4d. You check the exalt price, and they are up to 6d ea. You sell all 4 of your exalts for 24d, making a 6d profit. This is a small example. When you apply this is early mirrors and locks, you gain potentially 100's of divines due to market inflation/appreciation. 2. Pick a strat that is both a steady profit and has jackpots. This is easily accomplished these days by running maps with a good div card or scrying the div card. That way you are building small profits and also have a chance to hit an item worth 40d (apothecary). Black knight/svalinn is also a decent addition for this. 3. Craft. This one is much easier said than done. But if you do a little research into what is going to be meta, and make mid-tier gear for those builds at league start, you will profit. “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.” Last edited by Piousqd#0073 on Nov 12, 2025, 3:50:03 PM
