Woespike doesn't work with proxies

The ring doesn't state it needs to be my hits. Shouldn't the proxies (eg. general's cry) be able to trigger the impale continuation?

Bump. It's expected for your skills to have your on-hit effects. If Woespike's intentionally disabled for non-player objects, the wording could be a little clearer.
