Kingsmarch Mapper Boss Hard Crash

I got the "Bandits kidnapped your atlas runners!" event, but on entering the boss portal my client crashed to desktop. The boss portal is gone and my only option is to abandon the mappers.

I checked the log files from before the crash and the last entry was an INFO line of Isla's dialogue, so whatever caused the crash isn't being logged correctly.

Another crash...another punishing night of gameplay. Poe2 was painful enough, but early access, so I get it. This league has been a terrible experience. Dopamine is almost non-existent. However the real issue and thus why I'm typing this,the KingsMarch one portal situation. The servers are often not good, and that's confirmable by the majority of the player base. I log in to easily kill the boss that kidnapped my mappers 6 max level, enter, laggy, accidentally click on portal, a portal unintuitively literally piggy backing your character and then that's it ported, mappers gone. HOURS of gold grinding, rolling workers just gone like. I went this league looking forward to purchasing the "battle pass" as I did last season for the first time. At this point between both games I can't see myself spending anything as I am not even sure how much longer I'll be playing these games given their direction and lack of respect for a players time and enjoyments. I guess, I'll find other games to play and keep watch on the POE IP.
