Foulborn Voll's Vision numbers are off

sometimes poe needs PHD to play, but this one looks just wrong.

165 life regen + 20% to ES should be around 33, right? instead i have 23 ES regen an no ES regen mods whatsoever.

I also am confused by this interaction.

I have 3425.6 life regen and 304.4 es regen

I thought perhaps it had to do with life regeneration rate
But I have around 50% of that, so even then if I had 2kish regen, I should still be around 400 es regen.

So PoB updated and so it reflects accurate regen numbers and I can look into the breakdown.

I have ~4350 life regen and ~330 es regen
I have 2200 life regen base, 1.62 increased life regen rate and 1.22 increased recovery rate

The conversion takes place before the life regen/recovery rate changes.

The odd bit is it is converting % life regen into % es regen rather than taking the flat number from % life regen and giving 20% of that as es regen

So for me I have 13.93% life regen which becomes 2.78% es regen
And 759 life regen which becomes 152 es regen
With 5110 ES 2.78% regen ends up as 142 es regen

So 294 es regen then x 1.12 recovery rate for 330 total es regen


If the % life regen was converted properly I would have 2.78% of my life as es regen. So 10345 life at 2.78% ends up as 287,6 es regen
Add that to the 152 and I should have 439.6 x 1.12 for a total of 492 es regen


I also wonder if it should really happen before recovery modifiers.
In damage conversion all increases/more are applied before the conversion to different damage types.

At least I know where the numbers are coming from now, still doesn't feel like it is the appropriate amount though.


Seems this is how Zealot's Oath works, so I guess they just did .2 of Zealot's oath. I have used ZO before and never found it strange, but that is probably because the %life -> %es change benefited me in those scenarios.

there is nothing odd about this at all, its how POE handles all other mechanics like this(damage conversion is different)

just like when converting mana cost to life via any method and getting reduced mana cost won't affect the life cost portion.


don't try to think of this mod like inquisitors pious path
