Ritualist Breach Ring MTX - Not working on Breach 2.0

As of now, the Ritualist Breach Ring MTX does not work on Breach 2.0. Is there precedent to this wherein an adjustment made to an existing mechanic or skill was made which rendered MTX related to mechanic/skill useless?
