SSF or Trade at launch?

I'm going to run SSF I believe and switch after a few weeks. Seems like the tree could be great for some target farming.

Just curious as to what everyone is playing at launch?

Since they adding Async trade, I would suggest not skipping on that part of content

I personally played last 5 years SSFHC, and last year started playing HC trade BUT with no trade, only with 1-2 friends

Try to convince urself playing trade, but not trading like a "tradie"
Sell some shit, dont buy, and see how it feels

If it helps any SSF to switch, just think of all the Faustus NPC as just being an extension of your vast inventory

I don't play trade because I find it boring. It takes away from the progression, in a progression based game. You really don't accomplish anything by just buying progression in trade so I prefer ssf. I play with the Async in PoE2 and it was fine, but overall SSF is just more enjoyable and rewarding. The last time I played trade it was over in 3 days because you can buy anything gear wise.

Also the trade this league is going to be a nightmare with the tree and the economy will be in shambles. No way it's going to be fun dealing with that lol, but I could be wrong.

will play trade to just enjoy having asynchronous trade in the game finally

Only trade league, because trading is a part of the fun,and with new trading system this is gonna be much more enjoyable.

Yes but i meant going trade just for the sake of "sometimes" using async trade and just partying with someone

I know what you mean, but, just dont trade and you won't find a difference

It's still fun doing parties with someone and doing barter-trades if there's any

I'm against the trading mentality to finish everything within 3-7 days, but im not against partying and interacting with others

Im going trade for sure. I was always completely SSF, but that was mostly me not wanting to interact with poe trading system that I felt was archaic.

Now with a proper system for it in game I have no reason to go another way.

Ya and I know a lot of people enjoy that. I'm just more of a solo experience kind of person, so it's not just the trade. I think in the 10+ years I've played I've never partied once when I did play trade league.

Probably part of the reason is I play around 15-16 hours a day and the knowledge check that is required for crafting in SSF is part of the challenge/enjoyment for me, but not everyone has as much time to invest in SSF either. It definitely is grindier.

Hopefully trade is fun though. The tree could make some good money investing in it I would think. Good luck to you and your tree births :) and be careful with Async if you didn't play PoE2. Tons of scammers.
