% of Armour applies to Ele damage

Does it stack with capped resistance or it is pontless to have 75% res plus 40% ele damage reduction?

If I'm not mistaken, elemental hit is first reduced by armour (according to the armour formula), then resistances are applied.
Yeah Armour reduction applies then elemental resists.

My Titan has 90% armour and 75% resists and it's glorious how little damage I take against non-boss mobs.
thank you both
The armour applied to elemental has been a game changer. Very easy to get 150-200% of your armour applies to elemental damage.

Before this, if you had 75% res and took 1000 damage from an elemental hit it means the original hit was for 4000, which means now, in a situation where you have 15k armour applied to elemental (not difficult to get), the elemental damage is reduced by 27% first from the armour, then further by 75% resistances, and you now take 730 damage (26% less damage than you were receiving before).

That is an equivalent damage taken to a scenario where you instead have ~83% resistance with no armour applied to the elemental damage!

Of course, the utility of the armour diminishes the larger the elemental hit - but resistances weren't saving us from any mega-slams anyways, so in practice, this has been a huge boon to survivability for armour-based characters.

I think where it's seen the most utility is in the map mods for "monsters gain x% damage as y element", in that if the monster was a physical damage based character to begin with, with decent %armour applied to ele dmg, they aren't suddenly much scarier for armour-based characters.

If they were already doing elemental damage though... that's where it can get deadly, I think it's emphasized the importance of also getting critical strike damage reduction for these classes!

Yeah, i'm used to pure evasion/deflect or EV/ES and now even with 65% dr from armour and 46% dr ele dmg i feel very tanky on tactician...game changer :D
