How long do you want to continue the regression on sprint? Unplayable for over a month now
|
I'm gamedev myself and know that things are not always running as smooth as we want and that there is a lot of work to do which prevents from fixing everything in no time. So I usually do not expect quick fixes. But you made a regression that makes previously perfect playable characters to making any progress. In fact, that bug is so minor, I already wasted multiple times more time in reporting it than you would need to fix it.
What I'm talking about is this for over a month ignored post:https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3856739. You build in a sprint feature that is cool. People disliked the spacebar keybind and instead of giving the ability to rebind it, you tried to fix it. That's also fine, if it would work. In fact, you fixed that bug itself. But it was also a regression in the same time. While accidental running, running was a lack of player skill (I had the issue myself), the current solution is a lack of proper programming. Now my character, where active evasion is a main skill to make a huge amount of damage (without it comes not even close), often begins to run without a player skill issue! And it does not only run, it also cannot be interrupted easily. In fact, the character is stucked into the running-state, trying to catch up the cursor that is most of the time next to the enemies, which hit the character to fall and the easiest situations can become an unavoidable dead for no reason other than this little, but strong regression. If you need that active evasion as often as my main character does, it's nearly impossible to level further than level 90, even if you play super carefully (which makes not much sense for this build, because it requires to get attacked all the time to make damage in return). I didn't play for the last month anymore, because it makes no fun to loose EXP all the time without my own failure. I was not even so stressed and angry when act4 and sometimes abyss was super heavily lagging and I died for that, because I did not need to fear that lag comes and goes without any sign and so I could decide to play more carefully. But here? Everything that can kill me in the time my character is falling is too dangerous to fight, there is nothing I can do to play more carefully, except not using active evasion at all (which would just kill me in another way). So please, read this specific post to understand what's going on: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3856739#p26398870 I think I will check it out in another two weeks. Is it still not fixed, I stop wasting my time checking for updates and reporting the same bug over and over again and purge that game. Most people probably do not care about, since their characters are not relying so heavily on active evasion as my melee-chronomancer does or they play with controller instead (which I dislike for this kind of games). One thing I forgot:
Even the times I do not die, it is just not fun to get the character falling all the time or even if she does not fall, the loss of control is also very annoying, which happens 50 times more often (or alike, did not count) than dying. |
