Mana siphon needs rework.

Crippling for some builds, does nothing to other builds. Stupid. Get multiple mobs with it and you may as well just leave the area. Just got two of the abyssal trees. Great. Mana radius thing, mana pools on the ground. No where to stand, no mana. Sooooo now what. This is my general feeling about the game at the moment. Pretty fun, I'm often running in the same stupid situations and eyerolling. I see the pattern. If I disintegrate these mobs, none of this is an issue. Just don't use mana, forehead. Beyond all of this, the pools, aura, everything is overtuned. They drain waaaaay too much mana. I think it is better than it used to be as I'm not instantly losing all mana looking at them, but its unplayable. Unless of course I'm stacked into mana and mana regen. There should be a health aura. Just kills you super fast, pretty much the same thing. Except with mana you can just run around and do nothing. Nice. I can just see this in play testing. Oh you're supposed to stand close to the mob- oh oh right, but it keeps running away and then when I cast I slow down... Or yeah but if I'm in that circle, then the mob can hit me. I can't get out of the other circle, cause the mob is faster than me. I don't get it man. Is this just like copy and paste game? Last bumped on Oct 26, 2025, 5:50:31 PM

" Yeah brother thats how a lot of mods are. Crippling for some builds much easier for others. If you playing evade build, having "extra accuracy" on monsters surely sucks. If you're playing frenzy/power charge, having monsters "steal" charges sucks too. Plenty of examples. That being said yeah the general solution is to just annihilate the mobs faster than mana is drained which is bad game design, as staying within the circle is often not possible due to other mods that can be randomly paired with mana drain like shroud walkers or hasted + specific AI behaviors |
