You can get knocked down after ending sprint. Is this intentional?

I assumed the stun vulnerability from sprinting was supposed to end the instant the sprint ends but this does not seem the case. I've had multiple instances where I cast spark to end a sprint, succeed at the cast, and then get knocked over by a hit.

If this is intentional, I'd like to see the delay more clearly signaled ingame because it has significant tactical implications and is hard to recognize in an online game subject to lag. If it's not intentional, I'd hope it gets fixed soon. Playing on Xbox in case that matters.
