Abyssal depths on a bad build just make you wanna log out

This balance is absolutely fucking terrible.
D4 is making bigger strides towards balance than PoE2 atm, which is fucking sad. Year of ARPGs and it's all nonsense because 300 numbers are off. Last edited by Immoteph#2974 on Oct 25, 2025, 5:00:29 PM Last bumped on Oct 26, 2025, 5:08:48 AM

Those and breaches too. If you don't have a build that clears entire screen in single button press breaches are pathetic with 5-6 fragments. Get a one button screen clear build and get 25-30 fragments (among other stuff obviously)
I played Blood mage, amazon and sorc this season, and even though amazon isn't considered bad, the differences are very obvious in how much investment is required in order to get somewhat decent clear. And the worst thing is that insta clear is pretty much mandated. There is none of that campaign tactical fights feel whatsoever. Last edited by EVGENIUS#2976 on Oct 25, 2025, 11:01:39 PM

" very true, if you dont clear screens in 1 button its as if the game is extra punishing for you, currency wise, time wise, everything wise. Last edited by Beefninjitsu#4018 on Oct 25, 2025, 11:15:42 PM

Game should be difficult if you play at a high level.
A game with no friction is no game at all. There in fact should be content which is aspirational even for the best and most minmaxed builds. Last edited by Panzerstrike#1881 on Oct 25, 2025, 11:53:25 PM

" friction only exists for melee classes. |

the problem is not the "build" itself, because it would be fun to sweat for something cool to drop, i'd play that non meta build to kill abyss and anything else, if my time was respected, which in this game is not.
This game is the worse game ever developed (same as poe 1) in terms of player time respect. So blowing in 2 seconds the whole abyssal depth and getting 0 loot (cause thats what usually happens) is way less frustrating than managing to barely kill everything and get 0 loot. This game has a crazy issue on how it delivers drops to players. That is the giant elephant in the room which apparently no one is looking at because its so big that your brain thinks you are part of it. |

" And they still say that they want poe 2 to have meaningful combat and using different skills to combo too How can they say that and at the same time make a game that disincentivizes this playstyle? I really can't understand the devs of this game man like i don't think i've ever seen a game this contradictory before, and not only the combat but other things as well like, why put so much effort in making the game looks good visually if all of that is going to get hidden by the sheer number of enemies, vfx and/or mechanics?
