particles and assets disappearing?

hi, I noticed earlier that frozen enemies wouldn't shatter anymore -- they simply disappear. i didn't think it such a big deal until tavakai just released a massive aoe -- i assume crystals exploding, although there ~weren't any crystals~ so i could not see where the attack would be.

please fix this, i play hc and uninstalled the game because phantom deaths are a bridge too far.
