No support sockets for older shields.

Didnt see this posted anywhere, maybe I just missed it. I have a shield that I've had since before the first major update. When I have it equipped, it has no sockets for me to add support gems to for the raise shield skill. I suspect that its because the shield existed since before they added support sockets to raise shield ability. And I know this thread exists, but Ill repeat it. Rage on melee hit support gem isnt working consistently.
