POE2 Sekhama Trial Boon Not working (Glowing Orb)

I was in the trial of Sekhama POE2 final boss room (scorpion) for my 3rd ascension in SSF, and had the Glowing orb boon. I died to the scorp and the boon Glowing Orb did not trigger, my roa kept respawning and attacking the scorp, but alas I was dead and the boon did not trigger.

I had received a respawn UI dialogue box. I hit the repawn button after watching my roa die a few times and it kicked me out of the trial to the entrance.

Now I have to restart from the beginning of the trial. Quite frustrating because the trials in POE2, IMO are quite a chore in comparison to POE1 and I do not find them fun or accessible in comparison.

POE1 I do not mind the trials and even find them entertaining, in POE2 not so much and feel that the mark was missed. In trade league I usually pay in-game currency for a carry, SSF not an option.

Again I don't normally do the trials but because the economy is so jacked up, I moved to SSF. I did not take any screen shots because I was pretty peed off.
