GGG pls ban Fautus bots . Its stupid they get buy order before mine which makes it super OP !

U can test it out right now. Right now Reflecting mist is worth 24D and buy order is 18D which means 6D profit per pop and everytime i set buy order to be 1 D higher for 10 stock. It should be showing 19D each for my 10 stock but now its showing 19d for 150 stock instantly right after i setup my buy order . I tried uping it all the way to 20D per pop and cancel my old order the bots does the same thing . The crazy thing is the bots actually get first in line for the Buy order for some reason which makes it even more unfair .

Are you checking competing trades? and not just the current sell orders?
So in your scenario, the "bots" are narrowing the gap between ask and offer price, by buying at an increasingly higher price?

Sounds like "they" are doing a good job in reducing the margin. ;)

In other news, that is exactly how the system is designed to work.
Whomever is willing to buy at the highest price, is first in line (and for multiple people having the same offer price, most recent takes precedence).

Also, this story is based on an end of league where a lot of players (read: not bots) are KNOWN to price match against standard, and try to control prices on current league, to maximize standard riches.

[Edit]: Also to the guy saying "remove buy orders". Do you think items just magically appear on the currency exchange? xD Buy and sell orders are the same - it's offering something, for something else - and is what brings items onto the exchange in the first place.

The answer to this is the same as all similar trade issues. These bot farms are only able to function down to an end user rmt situation because player to player trade still exists. Remove the direct player to player funell and 1000% anonymize the process and they can't function.

Gotta build that bag on Standard, man. The real end-game.
Doesn't the "oldest" stock at a given buy order price move first? If it doesn't that does kind of suck, but it's only really busted if the "newest" stock moves first because that encourages automated management.

You know what, I tried to look this up and couldn't find anything official from GGG that says old/new moves first (neither could any AI engine). So my statement, while potentially still true, ain't fact based. I guess I imposed World of Warcrafts AH method onto the currency exchange :D

I suppose it could be tested quite easily on a PL with a few people, hmm.
A potential solution to help mitigate some types of bots such as arbitrage bots and Faustus bots in general would be to incrementally increase the gold price of trades over x period of time.

I don't have access to GGG's data to propose a particular cost growth curve, but it would be a potential tool to help reduce the capacity of these bots to manipulate markets. I can speculate and suggest that either an exponential curve or something similar to it would likely fit the bill.

It would have the unfortunate effect of also affecting how hideout heroes (no judgement) are able to conduct trades themselves with Faustus if they're on for long periods during that x period of time mentioned above.
