3.27 class and build question

I only ever make 1 class per season because I hate redoing campaign. It takes me about 3 days to get through it as is.

What classes are usually safe bets to have easy enough builds to get to end game? Maybe not do Ubers but at least map decently well and maybe get past Exarch and Eater of Worlds.

Last season I did volcanic fissure of snaking and got past them (first season ever getting MB and HH too). While I liked this build and it is by far the best one I played so far, I am open to trying other stuff.

I know i played toxic ballista but i did not get far with that build. Maybe it was me more than the build, at the time.

Any suggestions of class and build you think may work in 3.27 (guessing now of course) would be great. I'll just keep an eye on the ones suggested.

We're expecting a massive character balance rework so I wouldn't put any effort into finding a build at the moment.

If I had to make a guess at this point it would be Lightning Arrow unless they restore something like Tornado Shot to its former glory.

I hope so!

@OP: If you don't want to level multiple characters, my advice would be to pick a class that can be easily respecced.

For example, you can league start as a witch and play RF Elementalist. If you get bored with it or can't progress any further, you can respec and play a different Elementalist, maybe Arc/Spark or Cold DOT. Or you switch your ascendancy to Necromancer and play a minion type build, or switch to Occultist and play something like Cold BV. One character shouldn't necessarily mean one build.
If you like "melee" gems, then I suggest some type of bleed axe + shield gladiator, ideally lacerate of hemorrhage, base lacerate, perforate of bloodshed, or spectral shield throw (requires more bleed chance). Gladiator had poor representation this season but is still strong in both league starting, mapping (bleed pops are great for clearing), and even most bossing situations. Lucky block is godmode for mapping survivability, you have easy access to lucky spell suppression (bottom-right in tree), endurance charge on block, etc.

Even with some possible form of blocking, endurance charge, "melee" nerfs, this is still a strong choice for a "I don't want to play multiple characters" people.
