First Start takes forever

Hi,

For a few days (since returning to POE1), the first start of the game after booting up my PC takes forever.
For a long time the POE Game Tab shows "not responding" and takes like 3 minutes to load overall.

I tried already some Stuff.

1. As I'm launching via Steam, I checked Game Files, and he found 480 files to be downloaded again, but no change.
2. Tried the boot parameter --nopreload
3. cleaned Chache
4. Ran SSD Check

I did not yet completely reinstall POE, as I'm always afraid of this step :-) .

When closing the Game and starting it again without any Reboot of my PC the second boot is very fast (like 5 seconds) ... like it used to be always.
So probably something related to RAM ?!

Is this any known Problem ?
Any tips on what else I can try?

P.S: I don't think I have any hardware faults here, as every other game is fine. I have a good PC, and I can tell you it has never been this slow.

Seems like updating nvidia Driver to Version 581.57 solved the Problem

(the "old" Driver wasnt really old...last updated in September)

I know this post is old at this point but, I’m having the same issue and have been for a bit. I’m going to try updating drivers to see if that fixes the issue. I’m pretty sure I updated them right before league launch though..such a pain.

Yeah Problem is back ...was just good for 1 Week

I used to have this problem only on PoE2 but since the PoE1 "pre-patch" for the Keepers of the Flame league (the patch that ends the previous league and send everything to Standard league), i have the same issue on PoE1!

Already tried re-install the game, update GPU (current on 581.80), run as admin, run the "file check" that is locate inside the game folder, ssd check, set the max cache storage in the nVidia settings to unlimited... nothing helped to make PoE1 open as before.

The funny part is: Now both games take forever to open stuck in some black screen, after wait for one of them open the second time AND the first time from the other PoE is fast (normal) as it should be. Is like this problem is connected with both PoE's and after open one for the first time it "fix" both.

+1 here. 1st launch takes like 3-5m for me. But after that, everything works fine.

Please if anyone has a fix post it.

Ever since 3.26 or so the game takes a few seconds of just sitting in a black screen to launch to the main menu, sometimes if I click somewhere before it loaded it goes "not responding" until it does load. Its not minutes for me but something definitely changed and got worse in the last few leagues.
