Azmerian Wisp idea

I don't know if this has been suggested before but I'd like to offer my idea for this mechanic.
It's no secret that the wisps aren't anyone's favorite and many players either ignore it or want them removed altogether. Chasing them at low levels/as a new player often leads to demise and at higher levels/seasoned players it leads to disappointment (poor loot/time)

What if we could CAPTURE the Azmerian Spririts and use them on whatever rare we want in the map? Or even on the boss.... Or capture MULTIPLE spirits to super juice the rare or boss because we're a madman and YOLO?

This would definitely make the mechanic interesting and fun.

yeah it really sucks to backtrack the whole map to get nothing and listen to delwyn's lines in the meantime....would be easier if rares on the map were already possessed by spirits, so remove the follow the wisp process and delwyn too. The guy should only appear in campaign and not endgame, sometimes he just sits on loot and you accidentally trigger the dialogue ffs (console)

They can be anoying when they decide to go to that last rare at the opposite of the map passing nearby other rares.
Also waiting around moving without hitting until he infuse the rare can be funny sometimes.

But i also love when it's the spirit of the fox because it turn everything in your map into magic/rare and it become a mess until you get the boss =)
Thoose are my favorite.

the azz spirits are proof to me that this game is being developed in theory, not practice.

the idea of the spirit sounds nice. many ideas sound nice. but then u test them out and fix whats bad.

the spritis have been bad since 0.2 and still nothing changed.

so either they work as intended, which would make me very sad, vision wise,
or they plain dont care to fix it?

tho the more i play the game its a mix of they dont care and they dont play the game.

they dont want to make a cool game where they think people would love to play it.
they dont want to make a cool game that THEY THEMSELVES wanna play.

they want money.
nothing else.
I like this idea but tbh any change could only improve it at this point.
