failed to connect to instance

have over 1000 hours in this game, got disconnected enterin an abyss, now I get an error message "failed to connect to instance" when trying to log back in. I tried verifying the files, rebooted, rolled back drivers - and the issue persists. I even did a system diagnostic to see if there was an issue on my end. other games run fine. No idea what to do next.
