My personnal feedback as a casual noob

Hello community and devs,

I'd like to share with you my personnal feedback.
I'm not an english person, so i tried my best to explain my thought in english :)
Those proposal are based on my thought, as I played on many games.

Me :
I don't read tons of reddit post or stuff like that, despited there's good stuff there.
I would say I play 10 to 20 hours per week.
Done one character per patch. ( I don't want to waste 30ish hour to make a new one)
Done 5-6 season on POE1.

I only focous my feedback on what I would actually change.

General :

Some currrency needs a burning system.
At the moment, one perfect exalt cost 1600 exalt. Other point, some currency feels uselss ( mostly greater one).
You be nice to reforge 100 ex to get one greater, and 100 greater to get one perfect
The game also laks of one currency to reroll magic item. (like a chaos orb)
There's maybe also an issue with farming bot.

Still sad to see so many useless uniq item. Same for abyss uniq, could be a good idea, but less interesting that a good rare.

+x level of spell is actually a huge problem.
You can get (in my dream maybe) or craft perfect roll item, if there is not +x level, it is worth nothing.
Spell scalling is an huge probleme. Most of build scale dps based on this mechanics.
A perfect wand with only a +4 level is missing a lot of dps compared to the same with a +5 level

Staff needs also some attention, especially uniq one.
A quick look at poeninja, 85% of caster build use wand, 5% staff.

As caster, you will probably play a projectile spell based. AOE spell feefs less usable. And most of the time, you will end up by playing spark.
Would be better to make them directionnal AOE
Could be nice to have another physical spell damage

Could be nice to get a proper movement damage caster spell, a fire movement skill maybe, a fire dash wave.


Campagne :

Some maps are still a bit too large, and as you have a low movement speed, it is sometime a bit painfull.
For me, it is ok to have large map when you do end gmae, but during campaign, due to low ms, its is a bit boring.

QOL:

Would be nice to have an ingame price checker of item (an hotkey to start a search on market, like some third party soft do)
Would be nice to get a pickup hotkey to speed up momentum
Amzeri spirit needs improvement, too slow and needs a better targeting (sometime, it aim a rare on the opposite side of the map) so a skip them actually
Instead of wips, it would be better to get directly a rare influenced mob

End game:

Recent changes about maps are great, but there's few things I would change :

- Tower are more or less almost useless.
My proposal : Give them one tablet slot. This slot would only received uniq tablet.
So it also means you need to rework uniq tablet to make them more balanced.
Once you finish a tower map, you get 20% chance to drop a uniq tablet.

- Maps:
T16 locked under vaal mechanics is bad.
Instead, uncap the level of map.
Create a new item which has a chance of changing the map level
Exemple : when you use this item on a T15 map, you have 50% chance to get a T16, 50% to get a T14 map
On a T16, you get 25% chance to upgrade tier, 25% to downgrade and 50% to lock the tier.
The hier the tier map is, the lower chance to get a tier change.

- Delirium :
Actually as you use distilled emotion on maps, having delirium tablet feels not optimum.
So focusing on delirium tab is not a good strat.
What could be nice is boss get the same item pool drop from simulacrum, with lower rate drop

- Expedition :
This content slow down the map momentum. So I skip it.
Would be nice to not have the choice, auto start explosion and go.

- Deadly map boss
I would change the actual system by having 3-5 maps in a close range
Actually, you have to clean 5-8 maps to unlock because maps taggeted are not close.

+1 to everything up until the bullet on maps. Beyond that I disagree.

I especially like the idea of rerolling greaters into perfects. And in another post someone suggested spending exalt on atlas to spawn mechanics (like poe1) as a sink for ex.

Good feedback.

Currency should roll up. No brainer. I've posted about this as well. I actually expected that to happen when I started the game and was really surprised it didn't. Seems obvious.

Yeah, uniques are overall useless. I'm actually surprised this game is popular with how some of the systems work. If you compare... most uniques to top-end rares, you simply can't use them. You often need resists or move speed or spirit, something. They are often always flavor of the moment at best. OR, its simply too annoying to swap up your entire build to try to use them.

Honestly, the swapping up to attempt to use them is a huge preventative in my opinion. I think the first thought of most players will be, oooo this could be interesting... but then I have to change all my passives and all my gear... disenchant.

If you could just easily swap passives, there would likely be a lot more experimentation.

Maps, the system needs a completely rework. You shouldn't have to do something special to get an x level map. Maps should just scale... infinitely? I don't know, but I have zero interest in rolling for a 16 or a 24 or a 32, its all stupid.

Plus, the maps, levels, experience, nothing actually scales to 100 anyways. So the entire point is garbage. Scale the game to 100. Like a normal game. Like every other game on the planet.

Show me a game that just decides, well, you can goto level 300, but experience falls off the planet at level 14. Like... why? Did I miss the memo? Why does the game start to scale in actual time at around level 85.

Its a frustration simulator, its crazy.


Yes, certain mods are just far far imbalanced to other mods. This happens all over the game, mobs, maps, gear- even relative balance within the same map of say a rare to an abyssal rare- even an abyssal rares power to another abyssal rare.

Its exhausting.

Game balance is in such a bad spot.

Which do you fear more, a boss or an abyssal rare? Oh, on a scale of 1-10, the boss is like a 3 and the abyssal rare is probly an 8-9.

If destroy the boss faster, and under less threat, by far. Like, 4x by far.

Its like there are 4 silos working on the game, and there is no sort of overall creative making sure everything makes sense in relationship to one another.
