Game crashes every 2-3 map

Game is constantly crashing. Crash instances appear to be random. Played around with graphics settings, switched the audio channels to low. None of it helped.
Suggestions are welcome.

config: i9-14900hk 4080 RTX, 32 Gigs ram, win 11.

Update all machine drivers, motherboard, GPU, etc.
Windows Updates
Flash BIOS (be careful, if you interrupt that you can brick your motherboard)

Right, do a standard memory/stability test. Y-cruncher is a decent one. Probably 1hour memory test (restart to free up as much memory as possible). If that succeeds, get blender and do some of the benchmark renders in a row.

Last check windows event viewer (windows log/system) for clues.

Doing stuff like bios/window updates is unlikely to solve anything in general (windows auto updates itself). Modifying graphics or audio channels also is exceptionally unlikely to yield any result.

Wrong. I stabilized my i9-12900k by exactly doing that. OP has recent technologies and often with new technologies, the bios is still being updated for instability reasons.

As for windows updates, I agree it's unlikely but it absolutely should be done anyways.

Also, GPU updates is quite very important for a game like POE 2 that is still in development. GGG is in constant discussion with NVidia and other GPU sellers to stabilize their game.

You listed interesting stuff and the most important was checking the event viewer which I don't understand you put it last order.

This should be the first thing he should check for a diagnosis if that's the route OP wants to take. Especially when is PC dosen't crash, there will be most likely a trace there.

14900k was released in oct 2023, 2y back, not recent and microcode updates are performed by the OS anyways. 4080 was released in late 2022, around 3y back, again NOT recent.

Either way - 14900 (and 13900k and few more SKUs, but not 12 series) is exceptionally infamous of its degradeation due to high voltages; look up "14900k degradation". There has been a myriad of updates on the bioses to tackle the issue with Intel promising each one being the last one. However, if the CPU has started to be unstable is likely already too late.

PoE2 is not a demanding game at any rate, it suffers from not able to scale/utilize multiple cores efficiently, though.

Again, the 1st thing is running stability tests and based on the results deciding what to do (including educating oneself).
