What influences gold drops?

When farming gold from maps, does map tier matter? Is there more/less at T1 vs T16? Besides gear like Perandus Seal and glove mods, what impacts the amount of gold dropped to what degree from IIR, IIQ, Rare/Magic monsters, pack size, etc.?

the game converts equipped items into gold, so probably all of the above.
