Idea: Delirium Fog should only appear on the edges of the screen
|

Delirium Fog should only appear on the edges of the screen, just like the green fog from the abyssal overrun maps. This would solve the visual clarity issues, make the game more watchable, while also keeping the theme of delirium but without being so obnoxious.
Pls GGG, visual clarity is already one of the biggest issues in the game. Last edited by Foozenberg#2833 on Oct 15, 2025, 1:22:35 PM Last bumped on Oct 16, 2025, 9:24:58 AM

Agree, edges of screen ideal; wouldn't mind if the mobs themselves turned were "clouded" either.

I have also biggest issue with the game vision clarity. Specially delirium fog. It makes endgame unplayable for me. I just cant see anything. I'm stuck always at some terrain. some corner, log, or different levels of terrain and then I get killed. Also add vision all this abyss effects, spell effects, ground effects and 100 mobs, some of them are like so huge, it just covers all screen. And top of it add performance issues, then the game is just unplayable. I'm lvl 96, wanna do boosted t15 maps, but its so unplayable. If i play some normal map or trial, then I'm thinking, why you want to take away all colors of the map, add ton of effects, huge mobs who all rushing on you in light speed and 50-100 other smaller mobs, who have ground effects. Also these beam thing from abyss is also nonsense. Why they have to be so huge? And when I'm using headhunter, when I have this mod, then its always pointed on me, not the enemy's.

I love the game and everything that GGG has done to this game, but this visual things is making game unplayable really late game. I have spended over 700hrs into this game. I have understood that, stronger my character is, and more endgame I get, more unplayable game gets. I really hope that they fix performance issues and clarity issues in 0.4. Bugs and balance can be secondary things in my opinion But I really love what GGG has done to the game, and how its progressing each patch, keep going. :) |

     I like your idea.

However, I find "unexpected disconnection" permanently blocking my map to be more of an issue. It was in a mild delirium map so I guess that adds to it. At least I didn't die exiting the instance. |

I like your solution, despite not being a huge fan of edge-of-screen visuals. It would be a great deal better than what we currently have.

For me, I think the better solution would be keeping a very low layer of ground fog, but removing all of the other washed-out effects. I think if a zone retains it's colourful elements (trees, walls, rocks, etc), a thin layer of ground fog would be fine. |

" That doesn't really work when it would easily be confused with Shroud Walker or Proximital Tangibility, two very dangerous affixes that you need to be able to identify quickly and easily. As it is, Tangibility is hard to identify on a glance, I usually catch it when I've already wasted time trying to hit it and doing no damage. |
