REQUEST: Finally give us a death log

Seriously, I know its hard to make all effects and stuff visually clear such that everyone always knows what exactly hits him for how much damage. But a simple death log of the last 10 seconds or so, what hit you, which damage type, how much damage you took from what hit, which enemies used that attack, etc. would be a great help.
I have advocated for this already during 0.1 and a lot of players have commented over the last 10 months that they also want this as well as many creators talking about this in videos. So please GGG give us a death log such that we better understand the game on a finer grained scale, improve and ultimately master HC this way. Last bumped on Oct 19, 2025, 7:05:58 AM

Yeah many players asked this since 0.1
And they do have those logs already since they can know which bosses leads to the most deaths. And not only bosses but stuff like volatile plants etc. All they need to do is give us the data in a text file named deaths.txt if they don't want to include it in the GUI. " Its not a death log, its just who lands the killing blow at most(which could be shown tho). Honestly i don't think ifull death log is possible in poe reality with 20000 mechanics on top of each other. I suggest using instant replay and check it in case of death. It can show something. Using it when playing hc also can help learn the game and have nice deaths collection :) |

i'm not sure if i want a death log, staring at all those numbers and realize you'll never mitigate even one of them.
Even if it would show what killed you exactly, you have to add all the shit thrown at you before the last hit. |

Damage/Death log is far more desirable than the unnecessary asynch trade

They’ll give you the death log but you’ll have to pay extra 5% exp loss if you want to view it, nothing is free in this game buddy.

+1 but I have my doubts. Think about the effects on your clients performance. They need to increase performance by many orders of magnitude and this wouldnt help one bit. If anything, they could make mobs and bosses telegraph more.
Considering how cryptic tool tips are in this game also... Yeah, no. Considering all that, I think the easiest and least intensive solution is damage numbers. On that note I'd like to see a target dummy but thats TOO easy 😂 Last edited by addohm#8001 on Oct 19, 2025, 7:09:11 AM
