Ground targeted skills

There are some skills in the game that target the ground and disable you from moving to cursor, and as such will be unusable in the mouse1 keybind.

Considering the freedom of build choices that PoE is known for, you wouldn't expect to encounter this limitation.

Perhaps there is a way to workaround this when using mouse1 for ground targeted skills? Other skills seem to be able to mouse1 target the ground using the attack in place key and also target mobs just fine. Thanks.
