Corrupted Nexus Boss Did not drop Quest Item

I was completing a T3 corrupted nexus boss that had an abyss in the boss room. After I killed the map boss, I died to the abyss mobs that spawn before I could kill the corrupted boss. When I respawned, the abyss was gone, the map boss's body was there but no corrupted boss and no quest item for atlas passives. When I left the map, the atlas shows the corruption purged and the zone is cleared. I cannot get my passives or redo the corruption nexus zone now.

Had this same exact thing happen to me, only it was my first corrupted nexus map. Well, I simply died to the boss that spawned after the initial boss was defeated. But, I died and respawned to an empty map with the fog reset - no mobs, no loot, no NPC interactions, no atlas points, nothing. The map said completed and the atlas map was cleansed of corruption, but the quest didnt update and no atlas points awarded.

I have seen multiple posts similar in nature to this quest being bugged, but I havent seen a single response from any staff with a fix or at least acknowledging it.

At this point Im not really sure what to do. I have seen people posting about going through many other maps in search of another corrupted nexus and not finding one, or finding one and it being bugged also. I have no intention to spend a bunch of hours running maps on a bricked atlas where I can't progress the quest and get atlas tree points. So, I guess I will go play something else.
