Ritualist is kind of meh

Half of Ritualist is a gear ascendancy. The other half is thematic, but also just not great. Headhunter at home and a herald but worse.
The art of the Ritualist is so cool. I really wanted a "spooky" spear lady that performed these occultist rituals. Chronomancer can stop and rewind time. Infernalist changes their mana entirely that can explode, summons a unique dog, lights themselves on fire, and change into a demon. Stormweaver summons these neat storms, synergizes with remnants, and can take shock or chill up a level. Ritualist has a neat animation for a skill that isn't even worth a belt slot. I do like the ring slot. And, I like the idea of charm synergies. Just wish it felt more like someone doing rituals. More unique skills and/or maybe some Chaos damage synergy. It doesn't feel like you're a "ritualist" at all. Loving PoE2 a lot and some ascendancies are genuinely amazing. Chronomancer is my favorite character in any ARPG I've ever played. I think most ascendancies will eventually get a complete rework. 2/3 of them are just not impactful at all or too gimmicky and restricts builds too much. While on the other hand you have something like Deadeye that gets +1 projectiles and is universally good for anything using projectiles, not to mention the rest of the kit
Also blood mage and lich that can play any spells better than the ascendancies that focus on more specific kind of spell playstyles Imo, a good part of why those ascendancies also feel "meh" aside from not being very impactful is that they don't have any visual representation either That I can remember, only demon mommy really has any visual representation and it's only not played because it's really bad right now. I feel like Huntress is a poorly designed class in general, nothing about it felt particularly fun.
It was the first class I rolled to check out the new season, and I was just not having fun from the get go, pushed through to act 3 and it was still just terrible to play - I even looked up guides so I could kill things, but just the way you go about it felt miserable, friend told me to just re-roll and I was like "no no, I'll keep trying it out maybe it'll get better as I can finally hit key passive nodes" Got into Act 4 and it was just more the same boring stuff. Re-rolled to monk, got to 17 with hollow palm and immediately 100x more fun, got that all the way to level 91 and then re-rolled a Merc and that was immediately fun from level 1.
