Totems Cannot Give Charges, but somehow get their own

Totems seem to get their own charges, but you cannot gain charges from skills totems use. This seems like a bug since charges grant no inherent buffs, and I'm pretty sure totems can't use charges for anything. Weird that they have separate charges from me. Shouldn't all of the charges just go to me? If it's intended that they cannot give the player charges, maybe that should be explained somewhere??
