Endgame is even more boring now and has no real purpose

Ever since 0.2.0 the endgame feels increasingly more boring with every patch. First the loot drops were buffed to the point you could skip all the normal/magic drops unless you specifically target some base for crafting.
For some reason it was not enough, and loot drops were buffed once again in 0.3.0, and now it's barely possible to play without a loot filter, because the amount of stuff dropping from every mob and flooding the screen is just insane and it all is just left to rot on the map, while the currency stacks reach hundreds at early map tiers without any real use. Feels like there's no purpose in doing anything but just grinding over and over until you get an upgrade or an expensive item from the ocean of loot. Not only that, but the recent towers and maps changes make the already boring process of clearing the atlas even more boring - now it's enough to just place 3 tablets with desired loot boost and clear every map in any direction unless the citadel is found, rinse and repeat. Not saying that there were any meaningful interaction on the atlas, but having to look for maps with desired content and chase towers was at least something. One more thing is that maps don't really differ that much between tiers, which means you're just fighting the same shit with more stats, but that was a problem since 0.1.0 and it feels like there's no real solution to it. I find it more interesting to play through acts on hardcore now, rather than just aimlessly kill mobs in softcore endgame. Last bumped on Oct 11, 2025, 4:55:31 PM
