Perfect Exalted orb is not working ?

How can a Perfect Exalted Orb roll such low-tier, terrible mods? What’s the actual difference between it and a normal Exalted Orb? We’re supposed to use this item for crafting, but it keeps rolling T4 trash prefixes and suffixes, just like a Greater Exalt or even a regular Exalt.

What’s the point then? I had four Omens active, thought “Alright, this is going to be an amazing item,” used a Perfect Exalt — and still got T4/T4 rolls. I tried the exact same craft with a normal Exalted Orb, and it rolled T2/T3 instead. Isn’t that weird? How is it normal for something that costs 1250 Exalts to roll worse than a regular Exalted Orb?

But isn't T4 better than T2/3?

U gotta check https://poe2db.tw/us/Modifiers before slamming perfect exalts.
In alot of instances it might not be worth using perfect exalts over greater. Usually u only cut out one additional tier of possible outcomes. So Greater could roll up to T5 and perfect rolls up to T4 for example, but costs sooooo much more.

No, in terms of affix tiers, lower is better. The best mod is T1 currently.

Greater and Perfect orbs don't work tier-wise, they work level-wise. Unfortunately there's no in-game way of checking what affix is what level, you only see tiers, so you need to check outside sources when you craft with those orbs.

Perfect EX guarantees a level 50+ mod, so if you're crafting for example a ring, you can get T4 flat damage mods since they're level 54 mods (so higher than 50). In that case the Perfect EX does exactly what it says, it's the design of ring mods and their levels that make it roll T4s.

On the other hand, if you craft INT boots and your Perfect EX rolls +flat ES, it will always be T1 (since T2 is lvl46 and that's too low for Perfect EX to roll).

And there's nothing prohibiting a regular EX to roll perfect mods, it's just less likely.

So anyway, crafting requires you to check your chances, depending on the craft that you are doing, and see if the odds are in your favor or not. Depending on the odds, you might want to use Exalts, or maybe desecration, or maybe whittling etc. You need to do your "homework" first in order to see what crafting mats will be best to get the result that you want for the cheapest price.
