Cant find cittadels lvl 96

I'm playing in the endgame a long time and the cittadels didnt show up for me never ever. Not even a single time. I need to keep buying the 3 keys to open the pinnacles because the game is glitched for me. So what can i do to fix it?

i recommend pathing out in one single direction for a while. I had no citadels for over 60 maps in one direction. Once I found my first one, I've had like 5 scattered closely around this one. And now more and more keep popping up in the shadows.

I think one issue is that the patch which increased citadel density didn't apply to anything already generated for your world map, which includes the huge rim of fogged out terrain that is like 2-3 screens in diameter.
So you have to go in a straight line for a long time to get to the new map generation using the new rules (and then hope that the new areas have citadels, which by random chance they may not). Last edited by Poiuytr133#2949 on Oct 10, 2025, 9:36:45 AM

you need to visit the monolith to enable the quest to search or citadels, why there is no quest marker telling us to do so is GGG being bad.
