You've only completed two floors; you can change your Ascendancy here (the inscription on the altar is a bit misleading). To get 5-6 points, you need to complete three floors.

but then why is the altar in there, saying me to get the ascendacy points
|
|
" "You can change your Ascendancy here" If an altar would grant you as many Ascendancy Points as you currently have, you can use it to change to one of your class's other Ascendancies if you have no allocated Ascendancy Points. " "The inscription on the altar is a bit misleading" In the current state of the game, while the Altar's function is different (cannot be interacted with to gain new points), the Altar's description does not change. |

it literally says "interact to gain passive ascendacy points", I can't be misinterpreting when thats literally what it says

Yes, that is literally what the Altar says. But it's wrong.
You cannot gain new points from that Altar. You get your 5th and 6th Ascendancy passives in Trial of the Sekhemas by completing the third floor, not the second floor. We're telling you that the text for the Altar is not different when you can change Ascendancies at the Altar, but already have the points the Altar would give. The points available from the second floor Trial of the Sekhemas are the points most people get by doing the Trial of Chaos in Act 3. When Early Access started, GGG had no intention of letting players respec Ascendancies. In response to player feedback, they added the ability to respec Ascendancies, but only at Altars that would grant as many points as you currently have. But they didn't set the Altar's description to change if you respec there, but cannot get new points there. |
