3.27 predictions...

3.26 for most was a surprise in terms of the merc concept, but then again GGG had more time to deliver a league that's quite a different exp. Personally, I disliked the merc concept mostly due to the power creep and bloated loot, but I did like the early difficulty (prior to the nerfs) for overall more RIPs.

When they released 3.26 most likely the 3.27 concept was already set in stone, which is why I don't expect 3.27 to surprise most in its scope of content / features, but then again 3.27 being delayed extra two weeks from the promised four months cycle must be for a good reason.

December will be an interesting period, because that's when the holidays are, but by then most will probably quit 3.27 unless GGG has a plan B, which will be either related to PoE or PoE2 0.4. I'm not a PoE2 enjoyer in its current state and that's what concerns me, that the end of August 0.3 release 3.27 will be used as a filler and the company focus will be releasing PoE2 0.4 early December when many expect the early access to be lifted and PoE2 becomes F2P for all.

The only good news I can think or the advantage PoE1 has is the popularity over PoE2 and that could be seen by how quickly the established PoE streamers stopped streaming 0.3 within weeks. My predictions for 3.26 beside the typical is Phrecia and to be more specific, we'll get something from Phrecia either the Atlas progression or some new ascendancies.

Personally, I want / hope to see changes / improvements to the outdated endgame ladder, Ruthless (and its pace) or anything else that will retain my PoE interest for longer than a month out of four, because PoE2 has the same issues and do I want to see myself playing one or both games for at least 2-3 out of 4 months consistently before I'm a supporter and I've said it before I don't mind paywalls, as long as GGG does whatever they need to maintain dominance or relevance for years ahead.

Unless they change the cadence of updates
one big update a year and then one smaller as we only have 2 leagues now a year but one can assume each league should give slightly larger updates as they only do two now for poe.
(poe2 is so bad so I discount it as a game)

a month is more than average as few stays beyond a couple of weeks.
arpg games depends on new content updates and revisions of older mechanics.

poe2 sadly was a letdown of epic proportions as dodge roll mechanic was a huge design mistake and cant be fixed until jon overhauls and make it poe wise.
Oh Kopogero is back.
my opinion here but i personally would enjoy a Tower league, climb floor after floor and see who can reach the highest, every 10 floor has a boss in it, i play Diablo 4 (yeah don't hate me for it, i enjoy it) and the "pits" are the thing that keeps me engage, that and infernal hordes which is like Ultimatum in a sense, i just like the no worry or grind/collect stone/resource to do X etc.. just enter and fight until you die, after a depressing exhausting day it helps a lot.

I need to get some coffee if I'm going to enjoy a Kopo post in the morning.

Welcome back.

Agree, I can say that the Merc was not even a league mechanic, it was something they recycled from POE2.
It was more of a change to the end game/lore.
Almost a year without any content 3.26 was poor league, but better something than nothing.

3.27 probably won't be big, probably some recycled league (something like Azmerian wisp) again, several major changes and "reworks" on old mechanics like Blight, Harvest and of course some minor league like last time, which you cannot call league mechanic.

But now the big question is if 3.27 is at the end of October, and all the mess("attacks") that come with servers every new patch, holidays, POE2 league. I strongly doubt that 3.28 will be in February. They will probably push the 3.28 league sometime in March, since there will little time left for new content.

Honestly, the rose mechanic is trash along with the 'bosses' that were introduced. Sirus, Twin Guards from Sanctum and Innocence from the memories. Trash.

The Actual Bosses to follow those trio were also trash. All PoE 2 insipred bosses that dont belong in PoE 1. Keep PoE 2 Bosses in PoE 2.

If they were good or not was not the debate, it was whether we received new content.
