Lineage Gems have a trading problem

It's kind of disheartening that these gems are up in the stock exchange and you can usually get a bunch of each from a single exalted.
Maybe if we want these gems to actually feel special for progression they should be account bound? But if not, then we should start thinking of a way to have a sink for them. Maybe if socketing a Lineage Gem to another gem it permanently merges them together. The skill gem gets the upgrade from the Lineage Gem but it also loses a socket and this aspect cannot be modified again. Last bumped on Oct 8, 2025, 11:59:07 PM

" GGG never does that. If they changed their philosophy, I'd be shocked. It's a good example of the massive difference between SSF and trade. In SSF, farming Lineage gems is a project. SSF Rise of the Abyssal Ice Strike Invoker, high survivability and fast clear speed. Deprioritize armor and resistances; prioritize crafting a weapon and faster start of ES recharge. Build is shown at level 47, end of Act 3. It tore through Act 3 like butter.
