New Instances happen far too frequently now

Can we please go back to (like several days ago) when we didn't have to go to the next area to grab the waypoint because we wouldn't have to walk an entire area again during the campaign because we went to town for ten minutes? This is ridiculous. Why can't I just go back to my portal instead of starting the whole area over? WTF?
