First, thank you, the Abyss league idea is great and the encounters are exciting. However, as a close-range Warrior/Titan, the physical ground damage from abyssal cracks feels overtuned—especially in tight map tiles where packs crowd you. The new Shield Wall (rock) can’t be placed on cracks and loses AoE in cramped spaces, so it doesn’t offer real counterplay. I’ve died ~50–100 times to this mechanic; it’s not fun, and armor either doesn’t help or the DoT is too high. It also seems to scale very hard with map “juice”/Delirium. Early on, multiple cracks spawned too close (performance issues/crashes). That spacing fix helped, but loot now feels nerfed, and the damage still seems too high for melee. Kind requests / suggestions Reduce abyssal ground DoT vs melee or let Armor meaningfully mitigate it; consider a brief grace window after stepping out. Allow Shield Wall to be placed on cracks (or have it block/dampen crack damage) and ensure its AoE works in narrow spaces. Improve spacing/cap simultaneous spawns in cramped layouts; add clearer telegraphs. Re-check scaling with Delirium/juice and revisit loot so encounters feel rewarding again.
