"Failed to connect to instance" constant error

hi guys
so ive been playing poe 1 lately with no issues at all but this one issue. Every once in a while, I get this error message "Failed to connect to instance" when entering a new area. I can sometimes fix it by doing the CTRL+click to create a new instance but, in the case of towns or lately my ascendancy trial, i cant do the trick, therefore my trial resets and i cant get it done. Besides, it gets a little annoying and it doesnt always work. I also had this recurring issue on poe 2, but i solved it by reinstalling the game; however, reinstalling poe 1 didnt do anything. I dont know if its my pc or my internet but i dont know what to do anymore since this error keeps popping up. Let me know if you need any error files or anything else to help find the root cause and, hopefully, a solution. Thanks in advance!
