Game keeps getting worse lately
The last several updates have overly convoluted so many processes I don't know where to begin. Maps. Way too many items that are completely unnecessary/redundant/modularize crafting processes that should be simple.... A focus on crafting over drops that is so absurdly imbalanced now it makes you not want to kill stuff in an ARPG because the crap you craft is 1,000,000 times better, ALWAYS........A power gap of classes and specs that so wide it's never worth playing anything other than the top 1 or 2 metas......
What are we doing here guys? You guys keep going further and further in the wrong direction making the part of the game that's supposed to be fun (killing stuff) insanely easy, and making the part that's supposed to be easy (crafting) stupidly overdone..... and we're not even out of beta. Simple isn't necessarily a bad thing. You guys have gotten totally out of control. It's going to scare new players away if this is making me not want to play and I already know most of what's going on. Lets put it this way, the end game is so non-enticing that by the time I'm done with the campaign now, it's not even worth playing. All semblance of challenge is removed because of SEVERELY broken builds, and crafting consumes way too much time. Get it together guys.... Last bumped on Oct 7, 2025, 10:49:53 AM

I've made a ton of currency just by spending time alt-tabbing in a hideout, in order to spend them for a very strong build.
Sweating my ass off looting cleared overjuiced, expensive af maps didn't make me NEARLY as much currency as sitting in the hideout alt-tabbing with a browser on. They HAVE completely missed the point and for some reason it seems like all their brainpower goes into nerfing builds and farming strats and increasing the difficulty of the game to the point where it's just addicting and NOT fun. |

If you think the gap between ground loot and crafted items is big now, then what is coming in the next few months will probably blow your mind. This is just the tip of an iceberg, dear greenhorns - strap on.
There is no way to rectify this without completely redesigning the whole loot system, which right now is a direct copy paste from poe1. The tiering system does nothing here either, because the mod pool has been diluted with high weight trash that you will hit 99/100. Look at expedition for example, which has been made obsolete by greater/perfect transmutes/augments. White items have more value than the best tier 5 rare bases, I don't even pick them up anymore. |

The game itself really does feel good, But the discrepancy between ground loot vs playing crafting simulator is rough right now. Prices and perfect item quantity continue to increase on the market but available buyers continue to dwindle lower and lower due ot the ever increasing price ceiling (which btw isn't a logical economic outcome, not really sure whats causing prices to go up WITH supply, weird).
ARPGs are about growing stronger and smashing ass. But theres no point in smashing right now. Thats where i am with it. For the mapping itself i think its going in the right direction, although i wish mapping was as deterministic as crafting is right now. Fun things, Sad things... We can't share everything, But what we can, we should share... That is what it means to be a guild. A single persons happiness is everyone's happiness. A single persons anger is everyone's anger. And a single person's tears are everyone's tears.
