Shadow Trickster quest line bug

So when I was first starting to do maps, a friend of mine ran me through the Simulacrum on all 3 difficulties and I picked up those books for the skill tree. However, I seem to have never picked up the quest from Alva "The Shadow Trickster". It seems that this quest is not possible to pickup for me (not even available). Is there anyone that can help fix these sorts of issues with quests on my poe2 character?
