Infernal legion vs minion hitbox/attack reach
So i decided to try out some spectres with infernal legion, and one thing became abundantly clear. More HP generally means a larger character model, which means a larger hitbox/attack reach, but infernal legions area is based on the center point not the edge.
This means in a lot of cases, infernal legions radius is less than the attack radius of the minion and also less than the reach of enemies, so most of time time IL doesn't actually do anything unless you personally run on top of something and weapon swap. I'm not suggesting it's default radius should be added to the edge of the character radius, as that'd be way too large. I am suggesting IL's radius should be at a minimum 5% larger than the radius of the minion/melee attack range so that it actually does something. Or put a cap on minions melee attack range so its less than IL, that'd work too. Maybe hulking minions should apply an aoe buff in addition to size. This was mostly done with Frost mandibles as i was trying out the spectre in preperation for a tamed beast version, even with all the minion area nodes allocated +magnified area II it's still not enough (and increased area does not spawn on all rare beasts, specifically nettle ant). I very much like the idea of a "special" minion general leading my minion armies, I just wish the companions weren't so expensive reservation wise. The only small monster that's somewhat feasible is the bugged bogfelled commoner, but that'll get fixed soon enough so i dont really think that's a valid example.
