Delirium Performance and hidden values

Delirium is a hugely beneficial thing to run on your maps for increased rarity but the performance issues associated with it are terrible. I crash consistently with delirium and the difficulty of monsters seems to drastically change between tiles even though the % of deliriousness remains more or less the same.

What are the hidden mechanics of delirium? I tried searching but cant seem to find a definitive answer (buffs monster damage, nerfs player damage to monsters, buffs monster hp). Does high deli have a chance to make monsters crit immune? cuz that might explain the variation im having running deli tiles.

Performance is dogwater... ill see frames disappear as i continue on the map with stutters and an eventual freeze/crash when too many effects are happening at once (which i have a 50/50 chance of when the server restarts Im unpaused and watch my characters health bar disappear on a black screen).

Visually delirium is terrible as well, not sure why we need to go grayscale and ruin the already bad visual clarity the game has.

Get rid of the overbearing fog, give us in depth stats on what deli does to monsters, and try and fix the god awful performance it has.
