ACT 2 huntress issues for new players need to be looked at

I have over 10 days play time in POE and have many issues with a fresh act 2 spear playthrough.

1. Spears are underpowered to beat the act 2 boss. My character has two topaz rings with flat damage on both rings, gloves, and my spear has enhanced damage with a socketed iron rune. My passive skill tree is all damage and is barely tickling the boss using the explosive spear + storm lance + snipers mark + barrage combo. The discrepancy between these skills and others such as lightning arrow, grenade/explosive, ED/Contagion is unacceptable.

2. The caravan map in act 2 is a nightmare. Ive played through the entire campaign multiple times and still have no idea what to do to unlock/gain access to the trial of sek. This needs to be looked at. I shouldn't have to dig through multiple dated youtube videos on how to access this trial. I honestly gave up after 45 minutes of frustration.

I can't see a world where a new player picks a huntress/spear character with no knowledge on how to scale damage or defenses and has a pleasurable experience.

That is not correct. Here is what i did;

I id every blue spear i found until i got 98% psyh. damage then used rune for another 18% damage. Added another 20% quality for extra damage and exsalts.

Got better gear for amazon. Putted a lot of points into damage for the final boss.

Down he went.


Edit: ssf - 0 trading, found my own gear. which is like 10x harder then going at trader and buying gear.
