Ascendancy reset Bug

I was trying to change my ascendancy in the trials of sekherma,
I picked a level 50 with 2 floors,
on the last floor afer the boss, i refunded all my points and the altar vanished,
after that i tried to run again and the altar still wouldn't activate,
i tried the chaos too but same bug.

And here i am with -200k gold and wondering what to do, i will apply the points again to try again later.

How many Ascendancy points do you have? You can only change Ascendancies at an altar that would give as many points as you currently have.

That looks like the first floor. You can only change Ascendancies on the first floor if you only have 2 Ascendancy points.

If you have 4 total Ascendancy points, you will have to clear the second floor to change Ascendancies.

Yes, thats it, i tried floor 3, but i had 8 ascendancy point, so i went for 4 floors and it appeared.

Next question is, why do we need to run all trials just to change ascendancies?
seems a little over the top.
