Mercenary nonsense...
So I play HC SSF, I'll make it short... My friend lost his 18k es giga tanky elementalist to a sanguimancer, he got 1-shot by Reap (not dot just insta kill)
Today I lost my giga tanky CI chieftain that had 10.4k ES + max res + 50k armor (131k ele max hit) to a T16 Smoulderstrike merc that was using a 70 damage axe and no damage mods on the map... Why is it that my character can tank multiple shaper balls, memory game, sirus meteor, and he gets one shotted by a merc with chump equipment that isn't even using a "high dmg big telegraphed attack"? Who tested this league's content?? If mercs go core please at least take a little bit of time to balance them, I'm still confused why a merc with crappy gear does infinitely more damage than uber bosses. I believe merc scaling in maps is also effected by modifiers and other multipliers, like rogue exiles.
I'm sure they will be toned down when they go core, like everything else is. ★ Forum Threads ★

" What do you mean? Wouldn't you be confident against an ele weapon based attacker that is using a 70 damage weapon when you have 131k max hit taken from elements? Mercs damage should be more or less intuitively understood by looking at their equipment and gems, I don't know what this nonsense was but players should be able to assess the risk before starting the fight. Unfortunately we don't know anything about mercs and their scalings or why they sometimes do zero damage and sometimes deal apparently 131k dmg instantly. Nice ragebait attempt I guess though. |
