Helena can only use wisdom scrolls from the stash after opening it

after running a map and coming back to the hideout, even though i have hundreds of wisdom scrolls in my stash helena is unable to id the items i have unless i open the stash first

it is not a per-session bug as it happens again after each map

My best guess is that the game is not loading the stash contents as part of the instance loading process. This is commonly a side effect of memory rationing if you are short on available memory. How much RAM do you have? Have you tried closing your internet browser before starting Path of Exile?

If you have plenty of memory and the issue persists, then it could be a stored setting somewhere in your machine which was set at some point when you temporarily did not have enough memory, and the machine forgot to revert it. I'm not sure what to do to fix that but hopefully my response can streamline the task of sorting it out for anybody else. Worst case: if there are no other answers, and assuming my guess is correct, then reinstalling the game *should* fix it.
