Playing optimally in 0.3.1 is more tedious than in 0.3

Before you pathed to a new tower set-up, cleared the towers and ploped in 9-12 tablets, then you rolled/bought your maps and you could blast for hours because a single tower covered easily 30+ maps.

Now you need to need tablets constantly. With the new map sizes and pack density I'm clearing maps in like 2 minutes, so every 20 minutes or so I need a new set to tablets, which are insanely expensive because people get less loot and burn through them quicker.

Then it didn't even solve the pathing issue, because instead of tower overlaps you now need to run cleansed zones for the best loot. And it's the same thing again, if you had a good tower overlap you had dozens of maps to run, but cleansed zones are like 10-15 at best. So now I'm spending WAY MORE time patching to juiced areas then before.

Also because the lack of tower juice waystones have gotten way more important, and because of that the juice prices are also out of control.

I think few people talked about it, but the thing that annoyed people the most about towers was that you constantly felt like you were "running out of juice", like you had a few good maps left and then it was back to bad ones. 0.3.1 amplifies that feeling tenfold.

Have you tried to play for fun?

I feel freed from the search of towers setup for juicing and just enjoy pushing delirious to the max on t16 whilst heading towards citadels.

Would be cool to have more places I could head towards to, but not for setting up and planning shit. Just going from point A to poing B, clearing challenges.
Gamers will always optimise the fun out of a game. When you reach this point it's often best to just find something else to do.
If your fun is dictated by a few % points in quant/rarity and whether or not you can juice to the max, go hit the casino, you'll have a blast.

we definitely need to move away from tendencies that make everyone except the 0.1% of players feel like they're always catching up.

Also, a new broken currency printing strat is most likely going to be found in less than two weeks. So just wait for that.

( Btw, if nothing ever compares to 0.3 juicing, then that's also perfectly fine. Was tired of seeing the game turn into Path of Minimap and Path of Leeching exp farmbots )

For me the fun is in experimentation, problem solving and optimizing.

Ok, similarly for me. But I moved on from the chore of juicing. Focus on optimizing your build I guess, do some crafting, make some alts to try out some defensive techniques you haven't tried yet.

I made a Reap-focused build in last few days and It's the best melee experience in this game so far. Even if it's Spell Damage and Cast Speed based :D. I was in a pickle with defensives, but figured it out today.

Don't stay in the mindset of something that's in the past. Adapt and solve this.

But that's exactly what I did. Over the last few days I tested various tablet/waystone stet-ups (ran easily 200+ maps), spend over 200div gearing a new character that's better suited to deal with what I'm running now and I was successful, I still manage to make over 15div/h.

BUT (and this is the sole reasons I made this thread) it's less enjoyable than before. The act of constantly burning through limited resources just isn't fun.

im having a blast on a fresh start private league with the new mapping system. Alch and go feels so good but i can see how for people who want to min max juice it might be worst
