Question Regarding Uniques with Spirit Skills

I've started using a Cospri's Will on my EDC Lich and its been fun to play around with. It's probably not the best min-max choice for the build, but I'm having fun and that's all that matters. However, I had a question regarding how the unique works. I was under the impression that the Withering Touch granted by the body armor would not require any spirit reservation to use it. However, I still have to spend the spirit to equip it. Is this intended? Does Coming Calamity work in the same way? I assumed that CC worked that way, but I don't actually have one to test it out. Anyway if someone could clarify if needing to spend the spirit is intended or its a bug, that would be great. I don't see any reports about this in the bug channel so I'm not sure.

Coming Calamity definitely does not need the spirit for activating the heralds. (you do need the stat requirements for each herald to slot support gems in them)


Can't say about cospri's, havent tried it.

So after checking again, the added spirt was for the supports I had slotted.
