Locked out of The Trial of Chaos
My character died (seemingly) instantly after killing the last boss of the trial and dropped his loot.
After re-spawning I can't get back into the trial. In "The Temple of Chaos" I can't reopen the trial with the "Chimeral Inscribed Ultimatum" Item, the game will say: "The operation could not be completed" And just trying going the next area "The Trials of Chaos" the game will say: "Cannot connect to instance. That subarea no longer exits." Restarting the game, changing characters, changing locations and coming back, with or without the Ultimatum in inventory didn't help. I hope you can help me, I really don't want to be locked out of the Ascendancy Points. Last bumped on Oct 3, 2025, 11:15:49 AM

Sucks you died. Unfortunatly you still did die, which means you failed the trial. You cant get access back. I think its a bit harsh for you. I think it does need to let you re-enter the treasure rooms.
Try remove and re-enter the Chimeral Ultimatum. yes you will lose that trial but you arnt ever getting back in it anyway. FYI Chaos Trails are just NO GOOD for potential disconnects. since they also boot and lock you out even without a death. For the reason i refuse to do ANY chaos trials in fear of just being a pure time waste. For accendency you would be better off just going sekemas later on. |

But that's the thing, you get access to this specific trial with a quest Item "Chimeral Inscribed Ultimatum" and let's you redo the trial until you beat it.
And that run was already my second attempt with that item. And I fear I just locked myself out of chaos trials in general. Okay yeah, I understand that Chaos Trials aren't if they lock you out for just disconnects. No idea yet what sekemas is/are, but it sounds like I still can get the Ascendancy Points which is good. Thanks for that info. |

Update:
I waited a few hours, logged into a different character, logged back in with the Chaos Trial Problem Character and I could do and beat the trial like normal. Just in case someone else has this very specific problem. |

Yeah... this bug has been in game since release but it's one of those bugs that GGG don't care and won't fix soon as they see it being your fault for not being able to complete the Trial...
