Xbox controller paddles not working

Paddle buttons not working on the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. Playing on TV via Geforce Now.

When pressing a paddle button (that is mapped to A, B, X or Y), it works about 1 out of 5 presses. This is for single button functionality / when the shift is not turned on.

When shifft is turned on one of the paddle buttons, then the other paddle buttons work 100% of the time. So the issue only happens without shift (but means we now effectively have 3 paddles to use and not 4).

Tested single button push (no shift) on the Xbox accessory app on PC and it works fine. Only happens when playing PoE2.

Nvidia has investigated and confirmed the issue is limited to this game.
